Are mature men and women who demonstrate love, forgiveness, compassion and the Golden Rule as strong role models for those returning from incarceration.
Develop supportive relationships with men and women returning to the community and offer guidance, moral support, educational support (tutoring), assistance and practical information about employment, housing, and social services.
Help men and women reintegrate successfully into their communities by providing a sounding board for frustrations
Help men and women acquire the basic human services they need, such as: payment of fees to obtain birth certificates, drivers' licenses or identification cards; tokens for public transportation to go on job interviews; application for social services program, and so forth.
Provide men and women returning to the community after incarceration with a sense of belonging while fostering positive ties to family and community.
